Since winning the 2026 season of ‘Australian Idol’, life for Kesha Nevé has been anything but ordinary. From writing new music, to stage performances and award shows, the ‘Idol’ alum has been kept busy.
Now hitting the road with fellow ‘Idol’ finalist Kalani Artis, the duo are travelling across Australia’s east coast with the ‘Side By Side’ tour, hoping to delight fans with their on-stage chemistry and powerhouse vocals.
Hailing from the Snowy Mountains, Nevé has quickly become one of Australia’s most exciting new artists. Known for her raspy twang, and natural connection with audiences, she won over the nation, being crowned the first female ‘Australian Idol’ winner since 2007.
“It’s really, really cool and I feel very privileged that Australia gave me that title,” Nevé told the Weekender.
From stellar renditions to exceptional original songs, Nevé brings a sense of warmth and authenticity to the stage, resonating with audiences everywhere.
Joining the double-header line-up, Central Coast singer-songwriter Kalani Artis was a breakout star from the 2026 ‘Idol’ season, known for his acoustic melodies and heartfelt performances. With inspiration coming from artists like Matt Corby, James Bay and Jack Johnson, Artis blends soulful vocals with acoustic-driven melodies, enchanting audiences with his storytelling and captivating stage presence.
The first touring experience for both artists, this run of shows promises to showcase the very best of Australia’s contemporary talent, delivering crowd-favourite ‘Idol’ performances, as well as newly released songs and intimate acoustic moments.
“The biggest thing I’m looking forward to is just finally being able to enjoy the experience I’ve always wanted to enjoy,” Artis shared.
Fuelled by the duo’s connection throughout the show, the Side By Side tour is a reflection of the shared passion and commitment both Nevé and Artis hold for making music. Combining Nevé’s country-pop storytelling with Artis’ indie-folk sound, the two blend together seamlessly.
When asked what fans can expect, Nevé teased, “We’re really excited to bring a lot of original songs, some ‘Idol’ favourites, maybe some duets… it’s just gonna be big love and friendship, so we’re both really excited to get on the road and do what we love.”
With both artists on the threshold of their career, the tour marks the starting point for two musicians preparing to forge their futures.
“I’m definitely working on getting over to Nashville” Nevé said.
“That’s been a goal of mine for a while.”
When asked about his plans for the future, Artis shared: “I ultimately want to continue touring and reaching as many people with my music as I can.”
The ‘Side By Side’ tour is coming to the Evan Theatre at Panthers on Sunday, November 1. Whether you’re a long-time supporter or discovering them for the first time, this tour promises an uplifting celebration of two heartening Australian artists.
