The Nepean River will come alive this weekend as Real Festival lights up Tench Reserve.

Starting tonight (Friday), this free, family-friendly event promises a vibrant mix of creativity, entertainment, and riverfront fun for all ages.

While the increase river levels have led to the cancellation of Friday night’s Riverside Lasers show, the festival still offers an incredible lineup of activities and entertainment that will delight visitors of all ages.

By day, festivalgoers can explore a huge program of activities including interactive art displays, an open-air arcade, and engaging workshops.

Popular sessions like Wondiverse LEGO®, proudly sponsored by Western Sydney International Airport, are still available to book but spots are limited! For those up for a little friendly competition, laser tag sessions are also on offer and must be booked in advance to secure your place.

Penrith Mayor Todd Carney said the festival continues to be a highlight on the city’s event calendar.

“Real Festival is one of Penrith’s most loved events, and it’s easy to see why. It brings our community together in a spectacular setting, showcasing creativity, culture, and connection. We’re proud to deliver an event that continues to grow and inspire year after year,” he said.

To make getting there easy, Busways is offering a free shuttle service from Penrith Station, Emu Plains Station and Jamison Park throughout the festival.

With market stalls, creative workshops, live performances, food trucks, and a pop-up Festival bar, Real Festival is the ultimate weekend escape right on Penrith’s doorstep.

Real Festival is proudly produced by Penrith City Council, sponsored by Busways, and supported by Blue Mountains Gazette, The Western Weekender, and Western Sydney International Airport.
