Luxurious Sydney stay at One Global Resorts Green Square

If I had to describe One Global Resorts Green Square in three words, those adjectives would be luxurious, comfortable, and convenient.

Resting on the outskirts of Sydney, the beautifully designed urban retreat offers luxury suites, state-of-the-art guest facilities, and a view of the growing suburb surrounding the uniquely built hotel.

Let’s talk luxury…

After parking my car in the secure underground garage on a Friday afternoon, I ventured to the hotel’s lobby where black and gold décor floods the chic space. The high contrast, timeless and dramatic aesthetic, paired with friendly and helpful reception staff, gives an instant impression of elegance and warmth.

That vibe extends to the resort’s 90 apartment-style suites. Equipped with premium bedding, private balconies, fully equipped kitchens, and classy bathrooms with back-lit mirrors, these suites are perfect for any occasion. I put that to the test by spending my first night at the resort with my partner for a romantic getaway, and my second night with a book and some Mersey Valley cheese.

The ultimate place to rest your head.

Beyond the beautifully decorated suites, the accommodation provides guests with access to a heated infinity pool, a spa, a sauna, and a gym. The pool and spa area was a personal highlight during my stay, especially as the sky turned pastel blue towards the end of the day and as the setting sun lit up the brightly coloured buildings neighbouring the resort.

All things comfort…

The five-star hotel is part of the Infinity by One Global Capital development, which is home to a ground floor retail plaza underneath the towering apartments. But that’s not the first thing you notice when you look at the building.

The unique precinct, designed by architect Koichi Takada, is curvy! Inspired by Japanese minimalism, the resort features flowing lines, natural light, and organic greenery – design elements that impart calmness.

The lobby felt elegant.

Those curves continue indoors. My apartment was decorated with a circular dining table, a circular ottoman, curve-backed dining and lounge chairs, and a golden Lilypad artwork above the bed.

The repetitive soft edges made the room more inviting, which is why I dined in on my Saturday night instead of exploring the dining options on the street below.

Regarding convenience…

One Global Resorts Green Square is perfectly positioned amongst eateries and grocery shops – particularly along Ebsworth Street and Zetland Avenue. But for those who want to explore the city or travel to Sydney domestic and international airports, the property offers a direct connection to Green Square train station.

One World looks stunning.

I remained in the vicinity of the hotel during my stay. I had breakfast at Social Society on both mornings, where the term ‘latte art’ is a mild way to describe the frothy murals atop morning brews.

For dinner on date night, I walked to JAPASU by Sang where I shared miso glazed grass-fed lamb cutlets, an assortment of sushi, and 16 pieces of sashimi moriawase which included Tasmanian salmon, Bluefin tuna, and two types of daily market fish.

The dimly lit restaurant delivered beautiful flavours and set the tone for an intimate night out. The following night, during me-time, I strolled across the street to Woolworths to collect some cheese, crackers, and a bottle of bubbles for a cosy night at the apartment.

During the day, if you choose not to sit on the balcony or splash in the pool for hours on end, there are nearby activities on offer including Green Square Library, Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre, The Grounds of Alexandria, Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, Carriageworks Markets, and more.

For luxury, comfort and convenience, I would not look further than One Global Resorts Green Square.
