We’re taking a look at the top five country albums released so far this year…
5. Larry Fleet – ‘Another Year Older’
Larry Fleet sits just under the top tier of country music artists, still breaking through with a rich sound and an unmistakable voice.
His ‘Another Year Older’ album is a reflective journey and his stage of life, with a young family, definitely hits home.
Tracks like ‘More of That’, ‘Another Year Older’, ‘Whole Lotta Little Things’ and ‘Both Sides of the Fence’ make it one of the best albums of the year so far.
4. Luke Combs – ‘The Way I Am’
It’s rare Luke Combs gets it wrong and he again delivered with this new album, which features a whole bunch of repeatable tracks.
This record hasn’t spawned the number of hits as Combs’ previous work but it’s an excellent collection of tracks.
Hard to go past as one of the best records of the year so far.
3. Megan Moroney – ‘Cloud 9’
An album that solidified Megan Moroney’s status as one of the leaders in the next generation of country music, and importantly dragging an entire generation into the genre like Taylor Swift did all those years ago.
Songs like ‘6 Months Later’ and ‘Medicine’ are instant hits, but there’s some deeper cuts here that really show the strength in the blonde bombshell’s writing and vocals.
Not surprisingly, it debuted at #1 on the US Top Country albums chart.
2. Cody Johnson – ‘Banks of the Trinity’
Cody Johnson is right at the top of the country music scene around the world at the moment and this album certainly doesn’t suggest he’ll be dropping down any time soon.
There’s a whole bunch of great tracks on this album, including ‘Take Me Back’, ‘C’mon Cowgirl’ and ‘Every Man’. This one has only just been released, but after multiple listens it’s moved straight to our best of the year list.
1. Ella Langley – ‘Dandeloin’
The absolute “don’t skip a single song” album of 2026; and the record that will likely define Ella Langley’s career and win her a swag of awards.
From ‘Choosin’ Texas’ to ‘Be Her’ and ‘Bottom of your Boots’, this album is full of hits and helping Langley break records everywhere.
There is just not a bad song on this album, and it’d be hard to find another record that will beat it for our Album of the Year.
