For the first time Penrith will host a vinyl and CD fair on the banks of Nepean River.

This weekend Records by the River will be held at the Taproom on Tench from 10am to late on both Saturday and Sunday.

“It’s the first time there has ever been a record and CD collectible fair in the river area,” event coordinator and vinyl collector Michel Le Goff said.

“This has never happened before!

“The aim is to bring communities together to enjoy the experience of purchasing vinyl records which are making a huge comeback in Australia. The setting here at the Taproom on Tench where the event is being held… is just magnificent.”

The event is free entry and there will be live music as well as DJ’s spinning vinyl.

There will be thousands of CDs and records for sale.

“Whether you’re from Sydney, Penrith, the Blue Mountains congregate at this wonderful event,” Le Goff said.

“The whole idea is the share the love of music with everyone.”

Le Goff is also working on getting more vinyl events happening in western Sydney.

“I’m also coordinating a vinyl record fair scheduled on October 1 at the Penrith Paceway for the very first time,” he said.

“This is a frenzy for the western suburbs! In the past people have had to go to Sydney to buy records or go to these shows but I feel the vibe that people in the western suburbs listen to brilliant music and there is a lot of great music available on record.”

For those who can’t attend the event Le Goff buys collections privately and welcomes anyone to reach out to him on 0400 675 315.
